You show the spectator your new toy... a P.D.A. They're expecting to
see a little computer that keeps up with your calendar and
errands.

you pull out a bunch of blank cards. (You say they are
"note cards".)

You explain
how this P.D.A. has a "Memory Uplink
Module". You don't have to type or write anything...
you just have to think about a task, like picking up your dry-
cleaning, and it automatically inputs it... from your
brain... into your P.D.A.

Of course
they don't believe you... you're a magician and you lie for a
living!
So... you
prove it!

Someone just thinks
of an item from any grocery store.
Visually...
writing appears on one of the blank note cards.
